Cantiere del Pardo and NL Comp nominated for the Boat Builder Awards 2024 with the Grand Soleil BLUE

Cantiere del Pardo and NLComp are pleased to announce their first nomination for the prestigious 2024 Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement, organized by IBI and METSTRADE in association with Raymarine, thanks to the Grand Soleil BLUE, the 33 feet Daysailer Zero Impact.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the event highlights key industry priorities such as innovation, collaboration, sustainability, talent development, and market expansion.

Cantiere del Pardo, together with NLComp, was selected among 31 finalist companies out of 97 entries in 11 categories. A jury of 10 international experts evaluated the submissions, awarding the best achievements in product development, sustainable practices, customer care, and design excellence, as well as special recognitions for Lifetime Achievement, Rising Star, and Designer of the Year.

The ambitious Grand Soleil BLUE, the 33 feet Daysailer Zero Impact, the result of a productive collaboration between Cantiere del Pardo and pioneering sustainable materials company NLComp, is nominated for the significant award “Collaborative Solution between a Builder and its Supply Chain Partner”.

The Grand Soleil BLUE, the 33 feet Daysailer Zero Impact, which will make its World Premiere at Boot Düsseldorf 2025, incorporates innovative and sustainable technologies, including recyclable thermoplastic resin for easier end-of-life disposal, design for component disassembly, zero-emission electric propulsion, solar panels for energy autonomy, sails made from thermoplastic materials, and a hydro-generation system that recharges the batteries while sailing.

This nomination is a major achievement and a source of pride for Cantiere del Pardo, which every day confirms itself as a rapidly expanding company with values and principles geared towards the well-being of people and the environment.

The winners will be revealed during a special 10th anniversary celebration dinner at the Maritime History Museum in Amsterdam on 20 November.
